Imagine One Awarded Carrier Planning Activity Support Contract

Imagine One’s Maritime and Cyber/IT Business Unit was awarded a potential five-year Task Order on March 25, 2016 to continue our engineering, analytical, technical and administrative support to PEO Aircraft Carriers at the Carrier Planning Activity (CPA) in Portsmouth, VA.  The Task Order has an active Base Year and two Option Years; with the opportunity to earn two additional Award Term years. This award is a follow-on to our support that began in August 2010. The total value if all options and award terms are executed is approximately $14.9M.

The mission of CPA, a field activity of PEO Aircraft Carriers, is to provide centralized life cycle management for the Navy’s aircraft carrier force.  The CPA also manages and executes the Class Maintenance Plan as required to ensure the 50-year design service life of these warships. Our support will encompass five task areas: Ship Life Cycle Maintenance Analytics, Engineering Analytical Support, Data Analytics, Programming and Information Assurance, and Administrative Support.

 

End of the line for Navy special ops squadron

The Navy Helicopter Squadron HSC-84 was disestablished on Saturday, March 19th at Naval Station Norfolk. Commander Severson served with distinction in Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron EIGHT FOUR (HSC-84) for nearly seventeen years as a Navy Reserve pilot, flying over 3,500 mishap-free flight hours, and successfully completing two OCONUS deployments and more than 35 CONUS detachments. For almost two decades, he provided leadership, mentorship, and guidance for pilots, aircrew men, and maintenance personnel, enabling the successful execution of painstaking training and high tempo operations in support of the squadron and its mission, both in peacetime and in combat.

During his tenure with the Red Wolves of HSC-84, he served in nearly every billet in the command, to include Officer in Charge (OIC), Detachment OIC, Operations Officer, Detachment Operations Officer, Assistant Operations Officer, Maintenance Officer, Operation Iraqi Freedom Detachment Maintenance Officer, Safety Officer, Detachment Safety Officer, Aviation Safety Officer, Detachment Aviation Safety Officer, Ground Safety Officer, Plans and Exercises Officer, and Selected Reservist Interoperability Officer.  Following this tour Fred will retire from the Navy Reserve after 28 years of loyal and dedicated service.

Imagine One Announces the Promotion of Senior Proposal Manager

Please join us in congratulating Kristy Schaffer who has been promoted to Senior Proposal Manager for Imagine One Technology & Management.

In this capacity, Kristy will report to our VP of Business Development and coordinate all proposal activity in support of the Business Units, Vice Presidents and other company Proposal Managers. Ms. Schaffer is located in our Shirlington DC office and has worked 8 years with Imagine One supporting various proposal development and other office management roles. Prior to joining Imagine One, Ms. Schaffer served in the U.S. Army for 6 years.

Ms. Schaffer’s responsibilities include the update/maintenance of the internal web-based management tool, including Share Point and other tools to improve and streamline proposal processes; leading, supporting, updating and developing new and conducting internal proposal training initiatives; tracking proposal compliance from debriefs and ensuring compliance is a “major” part of color team reviews; maintaining the proposal repository of best practices and re-use material; coordinating and assigning proposal resources across the company to meet current and future anticipated proposal schedules; providing support to and updating internal competency processes; and providing leadership and input to corporate communications activities.

Imagine One Announces the Promotion of Controller at Corporate Headquarters

Please join us in congratulating Geraldine Bounds who has been promoted to the position of Controller for Imagine One Technology & Management.

Ms. Bounds joined Imagine One in 2002, with a very strong financial background from prior positions in both the government consulting and commercial industries. She manages all aspects of the Finance department including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, financial statements and overall assessment of the financial status of the company. In addition, she is responsible for the coordination of audit and tax activities, along with maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Ms. Bounds holds a Bachelor's of Science B.S. in Accounting from the University of Mary Washington.

As Controller, Ms. Bounds will continue to expand financial strategic initiatives that provide executive management with the information to help guide business decisions.

Imagine One Announces New Vice President of Lexington Park Operations

Imagine One Technology and Management, Ltd. is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Keith Birkholz from Senior Manager to Vice President of Vertical Lift & FMS Business Unit, effective 1 December 2015. Mr. Birkholz joined Imagine One as a Senior Manager in October 2012. He has managed several programs at Imagine One, including the V-22 Osprey Joint Program Office (PMA-275) and responsible for forty nine personnel supporting PMA-275 Training Support Services contract in four dispersed sites.

 

His acquisition career began as a Deputy Program Manager, PMA-242, Naval Air Systems Command NAVAIR and the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for Hellfire, TOW, Maverick and Sidearm missile systems, all air-to-ground rocket and machine gun ammunition, and parachute flare programs. His next acquisition tour was as the IPT Lead for the AH-1W and then the UH-1Y and AH-1Z helicopters. Mr. Birkholz then did a tour in the Pentagon where he led teams of highly skilled requirements and action officers on the Chief of Naval Operations staff (OPNAV) as N780M and N780B and Deputy Commandant for Aviation (DC/A) staff as Aviation Program Weapons Systems Requirements (APW-1).

 

Mr. Birkholz’ active duty career culminated with over three years as Program Manager of PMA-276, Marine Light/Attack Helicopter Programs, an Acquisition Category One (ACAT-1D), major defense acquisition program (MDAP) at NAVAIR. Mr. Birkholz is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), he is well versed in NAVAIR’s requirements for a contractor PM, having served as the main point of contact on all customer relations as well as having provided oversight for quality product delivery and service from the teams.

 

Mr. Birkholz is a graduate of the Defense Acquisition University’s (DAU) Program Management Course (PMC-94-2) and the Executive Program Management Course (PMT-402B), at Fort Belvoir, VA. He is a Level Three Certified Acquisition Professional with over 15 years of government program management and business experience.

Imagine One Technology and Management, Ltd. is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Claude Valliere from Program Manager to Vice President of Tactical Programs & FMS Business Unit, effective 1 December 2015. Mr. Valliere joined Imagine One as a Senior Manager in July 2014. He provides program management and contract oversight in support of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) PMA-231, the E-2/C-2 Program Office. He is responsible for profit and loss, he performs all duties associated with program management, including contract execution, financial management, risk management, manpower, and is the primary client/stakeholder interface.

Mr. Valliere has over 30 years of DoD experience both as a contractor and as a military officer. He has over 15 years of Program Management experience as Program Manager and Program Analyst supporting various NAVAIR/DOD programs and over 13 years of engineering experience providing engineering program management, systems engineering, and engineering design, as well as test and integration support for military aircraft simulation, weapons systems, and operational software for various NAVAIR/DoD airframes.

Mr Valliere also has 30 years of military experience as an E-2C Naval Flight Officer amassing over 3,000 hours in the E-2C aircraft. He has served NATOPS Instructor, Commanding Officer, and as a Navy Liaison Officer participating in many joint and staff positions, finally retiring as a Captain in 2010.
